Finca Santuario began 2 decades ago, when Camilo Merizalde had the desire of creating a very unique farm capable of producing the best specialty coffees in Colombia. Rather than focus on quantity, Camilo decided to focus on quality. He quickly realised in order to produce excellent cup quality with a long term sustainable goal the biological diversity of the enviroment was paramount.
Finca Santuario encourages a symbiotic relationship between plant and animal diversity, this is particularly important as the vast majority of varieties grown at Santuario are extremely high quality with a lower yield. Harmonious interplay between the surrounding environment, volcanic soil and variety allows for the creation of some of the most spectacular coffees available from Colombia, and in our opinion this is one of them!
